One of our Taster Management Advisers Marie Pohler recently went to Nottingham to assist in the judging of the ‘Bottled Gold Beers’ at the SIBA Midlands Beer Festival. After the one day festival, the judges decided that the Hooky Gold from Hook Norton Brewery Co.Ltd was the best tasting. Silver place was awarded to the Thornbridge Brewery for their Kipling beer whilst third place went to the Ein Stein beer produced by the Lymestone Brewery. This week Marie will be heading to Manchester to deliver a seminar about off-flavours at the SIBA Great Northern Beer Festival.
For some time FlavorActiV has provided a number of different tasting services, such as Brand Flavour Fingerprinting. We are now delighted to announce that, in partnership with Sensory Dimensions, we have expanded our Tasting Services to include our expert panel and consumer testing services. Hence we can now taste your brands, offer inter-site comparisons and provide trade and market evaluation, whilst our consumer work will help you better define your brand recipes. To find out more information about our expanded Taster Services please contact one of our Taster Management Advisers or alternatively please click here.
FlavorActiV’s Marie Pohler will be travelling to Nottingham on the 13th of October to judge the Best Bottle Gold Award, hosted by SIBA. Following this competition, Marie will be in Manchester from the 27th of October to the 29th of October to give a tutorial to the judging panel for the Great Northern Beer Festival. Marie will lead a one day tutorial from which the selected judges will learn how to taste and detect off-flavours in beers.
